Key outcomes

  • How to describe a target behaviour precisely before explaining, judging or attempting to change it.
  • How capability, opportunity, motivation, identity, emotion, habits, social norms, incentives, workflow and power shape action together.
  • Why familiar responses become more likely under time pressure, attention load, uncertainty and emotional intensity.
  • How to map a work journey and distinguish protective, accidental and transferred friction.
  • The Value Coaching PULSE™ Behaviour Design Loop: Pinpoint, Understand, Locate leverage, Shape safely, and Experiment.
  • How to select the smallest mechanism-fit leverage point instead of defaulting to another communication, policy or training intervention.

Agenda at a glance

09:00–09:15 | Arrival Choice Audit

Notice defaults, friction and social signals in the live learning environment; establish working agreements and a private real-work challenge.

09:15–09:35 | 1. Behaviour Is Data

Separate observation, outcome, story and unknowns. Debate accountability and systems thinking, then create an observation-first statement.

09:35–10:15 | 2. Pinpoint and Measure

Build a behaviour statement, baseline and three-measure scorecard linked to business/customer and human outcomes.

10:15–10:30 | Break

Observation mission: notice one friction point and one social signal without diagnosing a person.

10:30–11:15 | 3. Understand the Human System

Use perspective rotation, role cards and coaching questions to map evidence, assumptions, unknowns, power and burden transfer.

11:15–12:00 | 4. Bias, Habit, Emotion and Pressure

Experience context-shaped judgment, examine cue–routine–result loops and decide where deliberate friction or a second source is justified.

12:00–12:30 | 5. PULSE™ Diagnosis

Complete a solution-free diagnosis, prioritise evidence gaps and identify one influential, changeable driver.

12:30–13:15 | Lunch

Optional work-environment observation and informal integration.
